Venture commander trailer11/21/2023 Both are a click up in cost from a Venture, but have heavier frames with noticeably less flex, more corrosion resistant hardware, LED lights, etc. I currently am selling TIDEWATER and LOAD RITE brands. ![]() The top of the line 'commander series' does have most of the corrosion resistant hardware, LED lights, etc.but the structure, running gear, etc, is the same. That being said, they're a 'value' trailer, and get the job done. SHould I upgrade to the top of the line venture? How much additional can I expect to pay?.Or what other brand bunk trailer do most key west dealers carry that woulld be a definite upgrade.I don't want to worryabout rusted brakes and lights blowing out for a while if possible.DAN?.others? ALso where should I have them put the extra midship cleat or will they know?.Lastly is the slide out cooler standard now? Sep 29, 2020I am ordering a new 239 this week that comes with a standard venture trailer. Now some will say that you want a K2 or Yeti or some other rotomolded cooler and I do in fact have a 75 Yeti myself but I put 30lbs of ice in the cooler on Saturday and still had most of it Sunday when we went out again. I bothered the heck out of my salesman to make sure it had the cooler slide becasue its nowhere on the build sheet and never appeared on my option side either but it did indeed come with mine along with the Igloo 94qt cooler. I have to say also that its the easiest loading and launching trailer I've had and I really like how it sits down in the trailer, very stable. Best pulling trailer I've had and the breaks are awesome. I totally agree and second what you have said about the Wesco trailer, I absolutely love it. I saw all the stuff about roller trailers, asked my dealer and he said "NO" so I quickly abandoned that idea. Like you I gleaned this forum for information on what to order on the boat. So I'm not really equipped to give objective comparisons, just saying this trailer and setup feel superb. My prior boats have been Carolina Skiffs with crappy trailers and no brakes. ![]() I also opted for the electric over hydraulic brakes (best part of the trailer), when set just right I cant tell it's back there when stopping with my 1500 Sierra. Matter of fact the trailer model number has 239KW in it. ![]() The bunks are welded in place to fit a KW 239FS. It is an all aluminum with SS hardware Wesco trailer. Sep 29, 2020The cooler slide is standard, wouldn't hurt to specify.
